This Huntington Money Scout Agreement (“Agreement”) contains the terms and conditions that govern your use of Money Scout (“the Service”). Please read this Agreement carefully and retain a copy for future reference. We may change the terms of this Agreement at any time by posting the updated Agreement within the online banking Service Center. We will notify you of the changes in accordance with the procedures in the Agreement.
About the Service
Money Scout uses predictive technology to analyze your transaction patterns and identify money that can be automatically transferred to your designated savings account. To use the Service, you authorize us to debit your selected checking account and credit your selected savings account automatically.
Eligibility
To enroll in the Service, you must have an eligible checking account (“Service Checking Account”) and an eligible savings account (“Service Savings Account”). During enrollment Money Scout will provide you with a list of accounts that are eligible to enroll. Only one checking account and one savings account can be selected for the service. You can change your account selection at any time after enrollment. You must be a named owner on the account to enroll in the Service. A money market account (MMA) is not eligible for the Service at this time. We have the right to determine eligibility and to restrict accounts that can be used with the Service at any time and in our sole discretion.
Once enrolled in Money Scout, transfer amounts and timing are based on your financial profile, account activity, account balance risk factors, account balance and total balance across all your accounts. Since Money Scout is based on your unique financial situation, transfer amounts and timing can vary by user.
Your financial situation is unique. This Service is provided as a courtesy. We make no representation or warranty that this Service is appropriate for you and your financial goals.
Insufficient Funds and Overdraft Fee
The Service cannot predict all of your transactions when scheduling a Money Scout transfer. You are responsible for ensuring your Service Checking Account has sufficient funds for your needs, purposes and transactions. In the event you overdraw your account by more than $50, you may be charged an overdraft fee if you do not deposit enough funds to cover the transaction(s). Please see how to cancel a scheduled Money Scout transaction below to avoid your account being overdrawn or having insufficient funds for transactions. Service transactions are posted in accordance with the Transaction Posting Order of your Consumer Deposit Account Agreement.
Overdraft Protection allows you to link any eligible checking account to another eligible deposit account you have with us to help avoid an overdraft fee. To learn more or to sign up for overdraft protection, log into huntington.com, visit a Huntington branch, or call (800) 480-2265.
Authorization for Service Transfer Amount and Frequency of Transfers
By agreeing to these terms, you authorize us to initiate electronic transfers of up to the following amounts and frequencies from your Service Checking Account to your Service Savings Account:
Maximum individual transfer amount is up to $50.00 per transfer;
Maximum transfer amount of $100.00 in the last 54 hours;
Maximum weekly transfer amount is up to $150.00 per week;
Maximum monthly transfer amount is up to $600.00 per month;
Maximum number of transfers in the last 54 hours is up to 2 transfers;
Maximum weekly number of transfers is up to 3 transfers per week; and
Maximum monthly number of transfers is up to 12 transfers per month.
Service transfers will reduce the money available in your Account to cover other transactions. You acknowledge and agree that the amount and frequency of transfers will be determined and made by us. For example, we may change the frequency and amount of transfers for security purposes. You cannot change the frequency of electronic transfers, but you can change the amount of a scheduled transfer or cancel the scheduled transfer. The amount and frequency transferred by the Service may vary depending on your transaction history. Transfers will only be scheduled Tuesday through Friday. Transfers will not be scheduled if your account balance falls below a pre-determined minimum balance threshold determined by us.
